PROPOSAL / PHASE 1 / JULY 27, 2026

SCI RACING · ECOMMERCE PLATFORM

THE PLATFORM
BEHIND EVERY
BUILD.

A premium Shopify Plus storefront and the catalog, fitment, inventory, and fulfillment systems required to make the AI-first vision real.

20+ brands in the launch universe
02 distributor integrations included
04 direct vendor connections included
JAN target launch window

01 / CORE SYSTEMS

The storefront is visible. The hard part runs underneath it.

01

Catalog

You will sell products from more than 20 brands. Each brand publishes its product information in a different format and at a different level of quality. Some provide clean data feeds. Others provide spreadsheets or PDFs. We will build one pipeline that collects this information, cleans it up, keeps it current, and tracks which parts fit which vehicles, so a Pro R owner only ever sees parts that fit a Pro R.

02

Fulfillment

Every order placed on the site has to reach the right vendor, ship from their warehouse, and get tracking back to the customer. With 20+ vendors, each doing this differently, order routing has to be automatic. We will build the system that splits orders across vendors, sends each part of the order to the right place, and keeps the customer informed, including when something is backordered or ships in multiple boxes.

03

AI

Your brief calls for AI-powered recommendations, a build assistant, and fitment intelligence that you own rather than rent. Phase 1 builds the clean, structured catalog and fulfillment source the future assistant will run on. The assistant itself sits on the post-launch roadmap.

SCI Racing suspension and chassis detail

ENGINEERED / NOT DECORATED

One clean data chassis. Every future feature bolts to it.

Catalog, fitment, inventory, and order routing become the shared operating layer for the storefront, AI, marketplaces, and product feeds.
In short: we will ship you a premium Shopify Plus store in January, and underneath it, the data platform that makes everything in your brief possible.

02 / PROJECT PLAN

Discovery first. Storefront second. QA before launch.

We kick off August 1 and launch in January. Discovery and design start immediately. Once Discovery wraps, the data platform and the storefront are built in parallel through the fall. December is reserved for QA, with buffer built in around the holidays.

01 AUGUST 1-21

STEP

Discovery and Integration Mapping

The complexity in this project lies in the vendor integrations, so the first step is a full investigation of what it will take to connect all 20+ vendors: what product data each one provides, how each one accepts and fulfills orders, and how many SKUs are involved.

  • A vendor integration matrix covering every brand on your list: what data each provides, how each accepts orders, whether a distributor covers it, and estimated SKU counts.
  • The recommended distributor relationships and the plan to set them up.
  • The systems architecture and the plan for the launch catalog.
  • A firm fixed price and locked scope for the remaining steps.
02 AUGUST 1 - OCTOBER 30

STEP

Design

Design starts on day one and runs alongside everything else, so the build never waits on it.

  • Brand direction applied to the web: typography, color, photography style, and voice.
  • Sitemap and wireframes for the full customer journey, from landing to checkout.
  • High-fidelity designs for every core page, desktop and mobile.
  • You review and approve designs before anything is built, so there are no surprises.
03 AUGUST 24 - OCTOBER 30

STEP

Data and Fulfillment Platform

One system that handles product data and order flow for every vendor, so the storefront stays simple and future features draw from the same source.

  • Product data pipeline that collects catalog information, cleans it, and loads it into Shopify on a schedule. Base scope: two distributor integrations and up to four individual vendor connections.
  • Vehicle compatibility data: a structured record of which parts fit each vehicle, year, and trim. This powers shop-by-vehicle browsing and, later, the AI assistant.
  • Inventory sync that keeps stock levels current across all vendors.
  • Order routing that sends each order, or each part of an order, to the correct vendor and returns tracking to the customer automatically.
  • Monitoring and alerts, so your team knows immediately if a vendor feed fails or an order stalls.
04 AUGUST 24 - NOVEMBER 27

STEP

Storefront Build

The customer-facing store, built to the approved designs.

  • Custom Shopify Plus theme, built for desktop and mobile.
  • Shop-by-vehicle experience: customers select RZR, Pro R, Turbo R, tow, or support truck by year and trim, then browse only the parts that fit.
  • Core pages: home, collections, product detail with fitment confirmation, search with filtering, cart, and checkout.
  • Customer accounts with order history and saved vehicles.
  • Email and SMS through Klaviyo, with welcome and abandoned cart flows.
  • Analytics configured for conversion, average order value, and customer lifetime value from day one.
05 NOVEMBER 30 - DECEMBER 18

STEP

QA

Testing across devices and browsers, then live vendor order tests and performance work before staging sign-off.

  • Testing across devices and browsers.
  • End-to-end order testing with live vendors.
  • Page speed and performance work.
  • Your team uses the full site on staging and signs off.
06 JANUARY

STEP

Launch and Post-Launch Support

Go-live, final checks, domain cutover, launch training, and 30 days of support while the first real orders come in.

  • Go-live: final checks, domain cutover, and launch.
  • Training for your team on managing products, orders, and content.
  • 30 days of post-launch support.
  • We monitor the site and the vendor integrations, fix issues, and make adjustments as real orders come in.

The final Discovery deliverable is a single firm price with locked scope and written acceptance criteria. If that price does not work for you, you keep all of the Discovery results and owe nothing further.

03 / INVESTMENT

Phase pricing stays phased until the unknowns are removed.

QA, launch, and 30 days of post-launch support are included in the fees below. Steps 2 through 4 are ranges because the vendor integration requirements are unknown until Discovery is complete.

SCI Racing Phase 1 investment summary
Step 1: Discovery and Integration Mapping $7,500 fixed
Step 2: Design $12,000–$15,000
Step 3: Data and Fulfillment Platform $38,000–$48,000
Step 4: Storefront Build $15,000–$19,000
Additional vendor connections beyond the four included $2,500–$4,500 each
Total Phase 1 range $72,500–$89,500

LOCKED SCOPE RULE

The final Discovery deliverable is a single firm price with locked scope and written acceptance criteria. If that price does not work for you, you keep all of the Discovery results and owe nothing further.

04 / ASSUMPTIONS

These are the operating conditions behind the proposal.

We keep the proposal honest by naming the dependencies and the line between BlendMode work and SCI Racing work.

01

Vendor and distributor dropship accounts are SCI Racing's commercial relationships to establish. BlendMode identifies the right ones, drives the process, and handles all technical setup.

02

SCI Racing provides brand assets and any owned photography. Product imagery otherwise comes from vendor and distributor data.

03

The Shopify Plus subscription, app fees, cloud hosting, and any distributor data fees are billed directly to SCI Racing. BlendMode sizes these during Discovery.

04

Legal copy (returns, warranty, terms) is supplied by SCI Racing.

05

Scope changes after the firm price is locked are handled by written change order.

05 / ROADMAP AFTER LAUNCH

Phase 1 creates the system the next products can reuse.

The data platform from Step 3 is what makes the post-launch roadmap fast, because each future feature is just a new consumer of the same structured data.

01

AI Build Assistant and Fitment Engine

A conversational assistant that helps customers plan complete builds, check compatibility, and buy full systems instead of individual parts, plus My Garage and saved builds. SCI Racing owns it outright: the code lives in its repositories, the data in its database, and the infrastructure in its cloud account, with the ability to switch AI models at any time.

02

SEO and Content Engine

Technical SEO, data-driven vehicle and category landing pages, buyer and build guides, and optimization for AI search tools. This is ongoing work rather than a one-time project and begins around launch.

03

Classifieds

A section where enthusiasts can list and browse used vehicles and parts.

04

Dealer Locator

Help customers find Polaris dealers and service locations near them.

05

Vehicle Value Estimator

Kelley Blue Book style pricing guidance for used Polaris vehicles.

06

Recall Notices

Automatic recall alerts matched to the vehicles a customer has saved in their account.

06 / WHY BLENDMODE

We build the storefront and the systems behind it.

The proposal is not only about the visible site. It is about the data, routing, and AI foundations that keep the customer experience honest at scale.

Data and integration engineering

We build pipelines that run unattended and alert us when something breaks, which matters when 20+ vendor feeds are involved.

Systems design

We keep clean boundaries between the data platform, the storefront, and vendor systems, so each one can change without breaking the others.

Shopify development and conversion-focused design

The storefront is designed to sell, while the architecture is built to scale with the underlying data systems.

Production AI experience

We build assistants that are backed by verified data, so recommendations come from real compatibility records rather than guesses.

Your repositories and accounts

Everything runs in your accounts and lives in your repositories from day one, fully documented.

07 / NEXT STEPS

The acceptance flow is simple.

A 30-minute call, then signature and the Discovery fee, then a firm price and locked scope delivered by August 21.

01

A 30-minute call to walk through this proposal.

02

Signature and the Discovery fee kick off August 1.

03

Firm price and locked scope delivered by August 21. The build starts immediately on approval.
